Heat Sealing
Heat Sealed Printing
This form of printing uses a vinyl material to provide a durable
permanent print that gives an excellent quality matt finish. This
process produces single or multiple coloured transfers in a wide
variety of high performance materials. Players numbers and
individually names can be printed using this print procedure.
The two most common materials used are Flexi Cut and Nylo Cut.
Flexi Cut is available in approximately 20 colours and is ideal for
sportswear, polyester and cotton based materials. Nylo Cut is
available in approximately 15 colours and allows JS Sports to successfully
imprint onto nylon materials. All materials provide superior
durability and can be industrially washed, dry cleaned and tumble
dried.
Artwork
The first stage in this process is to receive the artwork from
the customer. Although we would prefer first generation artwork, Our
design team can work from a printed copy of the logo, (i.e.
compliment slip, letterhead etc) or even an old embroidered garment.
Preferred formats include:
- Adobe Illustrator Files (.ai or .eps files)
- Corel Draw Files (.cdr files)
Artwork created on an apple-mac computer should be converted for
use on a PC or saved as a tiff file.
In providing these files the design team at ADM can reproduce any
artwork efficiently ready to transfer to the appropriate embroidery
format.
It is also advisable for customers to provide artwork files.
These illustrate the artwork required in its original format without
the risk of any problems due to artwork sent via email being changed
slightly due to one party not having the appropriate letter font.
These generic files include:
- Tiff files (.tiff)
- Jpeg Files (.jpeg)
- Adobe Reader Files (pdf) Adobe 6 or earlier*
We would advise 300dpi high resolution files to be sent by
customers. For one colour designs created in Adobe Photoshop,
Microsoft Word or Powerpoint a jpeg alone is fine, but this must be
a minimum resolution of 150dpi. Artwork in these files should be
black so that we can scan the image into the computer. The
embroidery is then produced in the customer's choice of colour using
our design software.
Font Setup
Ideally fonts should be embedded. This means that fonts should be
converted into outlines or curves wherever possible. It is preferred
that the font file is also provided by the customer.
Costings
There are two costings that apply to screen-printing the first is
the set up charge and the second is the application charge. Printing

The application charge is the cost of actually printing the logo

artwork suitable for embroidery. This is a one-off cost.
The cost is based on the number of colours in the design.
